Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Profie ("we", "our", or "us") handles information collected through the Profie Chrome Extension and website at app.profietrade.com.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password via Firebase Authentication.

Binance API keys: You may optionally enter your Binance API key and secret key to enable trading features. These keys are:

• Encrypted using AES-256 before being stored
• Stored exclusively in chrome.storage.local on your own device
• Never stored in plaintext on any server
• Transmitted to our backend only over HTTPS, solely to sign Binance API requests on your behalf

Trade settings: Your extension preferences (leverage, stop-loss levels, market type, etc.) are stored locally on your device.

Trade history: Aggregated trade data (order IDs, timestamps, P&L) may be synced to Firebase Firestore under your account to power the trade history dashboard.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and manage your subscription (Free, Pro, Premium)
• To execute Binance trades on your behalf using your API keys
• To display your trade history and account statistics
• To process payments via Stripe
• To send trade notifications (stop-loss triggered, take-profit reached, etc.)

3. Data Storage & Security

API keys are encrypted client-side before storage and are never logged or persisted on our servers. Our backend proxy (`app.profietrade.com`) receives your keys only for the duration of a single API request and does not store them.

User account data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which is governed by Google's security and privacy standards.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:

• Firebase / Google — for authentication and database storage
• Stripe — for payment processing (we do not store card details)
• Binance — trade orders are submitted to Binance on your behalf using your own API keys

5. Cookies & Tracking

The Chrome Extension does not use cookies or track your browsing activity. The website (app.profietrade.com) may use Firebase session cookies solely for authentication.

6. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. API keys are stored only on your local device and are removed when you uninstall the extension or delete the account from the extension settings.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

8. Children's Privacy

Profie is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
